Tirupati Temple Will Be Built in Dehradun, Other Places: TTD

NEW DELHI, INDIA, October 17, 2015 (Times of India): As part of its plans to have a Lord Venkateswara temple in every state capital of the country, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is building a temple in Dehradun in Uttarakhand, a senior government official on Saturday said.

TTD joint executive officer Pola Bhaskar told reporters here that Uttarakhand government has allocated land for the Lord Venkateswara temple and construction would commence soon. Asked the timeframe for building the temple, he replied that it would take about two years. Bhaskar also said that construction of Lord Venkateswara temple at Kurukshetra in Haryana would be completed in six months.

“We have already requested the chief secretaries of all the states to allot land measuring five to ten acres (for building a Lord Venkateswara temple),” he said, while replying a query on TTD’s plans to construct temples in different parts of the country.
