UNITED KINGDOM, October 30, 2015 (Yogadork): San Francisco, Dallas, Burlington… even Helsinki! Airports all over the world are adding yoga to their passenger-soothing amenities, which, for the most part, has really only been shopping and boozing. Today we welcome London’s Gatwick to the growing list of airports with special yoga rooms. Inspired by the yoga program at San Francisco International Airport, this new yoga room at Gatwick is the first of its kind at a UK airport.

The new “floga” lounge is open to the public and there is a 20-minute pre-recorded yoga class on loop that passengers waiting patiently, or likely not so patiently, for their flights can participate in. The mini practice is led by Australian yoga teacher Shona Vertue who designed the sequence to improve circulation and digestion, and to reduce flight-induced stress. It’s intended to be accessible to all.
