BUSSY-SAINT-GEORGES, FRANCE, February 26, 2018 (Le Parisien, translated from French): A Hindu association has approached the Esplanade of Religions and Cultures Association for approval of the construction of a Hindu temple. The Hindu temple will accommodate 400 to 500 worshipers and should be located between the future synagogue and the Laotian pagoda on the Esplanade of Religions. The Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) has expressed its interest in building the temple.

“We welcome BAPS’s arrival because it corresponds to our wishes for openness to other religions and especially to the lack of proselytism, “said Claude Windisch, president of the association of the Esplanade of Religions and Culture (ERC) . It was created in November to bring together the Buddhist, Jewish, Muslim, Catholic and Protestant religions of the city. “The concept intrigued us. All religions live there in harmony and friendship and we liked it,” said a BAPS spokesperson.
