INDIA, April 7, 2022 (dmerharyana): Devotees may do online darshan of important pilgrimage sites or temples at their convenience and from any location. On Saturday, a novel service, Temple 360, was inaugurated by the Union culture ministry. On the website, visitors will see live video feeds directly from temples the inner sanctums all around India. The Minister for State for Culture, Meenakshi Lekhi, unveiled the website Temple 360 during an event hosted by her Ministry in New Delhi under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav banner, an annual Hindu temples festival. At the moment, visitors to the web may watch live streaming of rituals from four major temples: Somnath in Gujarat–the image above taken just now as we post, everything you see is covered in gold except the Siva Lingam, Kashi Vishwanath in Uttar Pradesh, Trimbakeshwar and Ghrishneshwar, both in Maharashtra.

Following the official inauguration of the website, the minister wished everyone a good New Year’s Eve. Ms. Lekhi said that during Corona, people were unable to attend temples for various reasons. She explained that the Temple 360 is a digital platform that allows anybody to view or perform darshan of the 12 Jyotirlingas and Char Dham, regardless of their geographical location. She said that individuals might see and participate in e-Darshan, e-Prashad, and e-Aarti using this platform, which makes everyone’s life easier while also keeping them linked. “Via this website, we wish to provide you with the experience of immersive spiritual journeys and temple darshans 24 hours a day, seven days a week, through live video feeds from temples around India,” the ministry said.
