Diwali, a religious and national festival sacred to Hindus, will fall on 1 November, and the Hindu people are now busy buying new clothes, home decorations and temple renovations, according to the local Hindu community. “When we celebrate this festival, all members of our family will buy clothes, decorate the house and renovate the temple. Then we will buy things to fry snacks. On the eve of Diwali, we will fry snacks. Then, we will wake up early at 5 am on Diwali, take a shower, make offerings of bananas and coconuts, and worship the Gods, parents, ancestors, the deceased, and relatives in other cities. We will treat our neighboring friends to meals. We are now preparing all those things, ” said Ko Kyaw Kyaw, a Hindu from Thakayta Township. The Diwali Festival is held every year in the fall, and it is the most famous Hindu festival. During the festival, temples, residences, shops and public buildings are beautifully decorated with lights.
