NEW DELHI, INDIA, August 20, 2001: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), is making efforts to forge close ties with native American-Indian groups, saying the two have “many things in common.” RSS chief K.S. Sudarshan met with leaders of such groups during his recent visit to US and Canada at the invitation of the Center for World Indigenous studies, a United Nations initiative and the World Council of Elders of Ancient Traditions. “Hindu and native American cultures have many things in common and probably these two cultures originated from the same root.
