SINGAPORE, March 2, 2018 (Straits Times): Arulmigu Velmurugan Gnana Muneeswarar Temple (AVGMT) in Sengkang has reopened after a year-long renovation. Costing over US$3 million, the renovation of the temple includes a new facade, upgraded facilities and a multi-purpose hall. AVGMT is an amalgamation of three Hindu temples – the Arulmigu Velmurugan Temple, the Sri Krishna Bhagwan Durga Parameswari Devasthanam and the Sri Mariamman Muneeswarar Temple. The temple, which opened in 2006, is visited by hundreds of devotees most weekends. The temple will conduct its second Maha Kumbabishegam, or consecration ceremony, on Sunday.
