The Indian Army has released an online notification recruitment on September 27, 2019, for Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) Religious Teacher for 152 vacancies. Candidates who are between 25 to 34 years age, with a minimum qualification of Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university can apply for the post. The total number of vacancies in Indian Army JCO (Religious Teacher): Pandit 118, Pandit (Gorkha for Gorkha Regiments) 7, Granthi 9, Maulvi (Sunni) 9, Maulvi (Shia) for Ladakh Scouts 1, Padre 4, and Bodh Monk 4. Educational Qualifications for Pandit and Pandit (Gorkha) require Hindu candidates with Acharya in Sanskrit or Shastri in Sanskrit with a one-year diploma in “Karam Kand.”
