PIROJPUR, BANGLADESH, August 28, 2021 (Dhaka Tribune): Unidentified miscreants vandalized four statues of Hindu Goddesses at a temple in Nesarabad upazila of Pirojpur on Friday. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nesarabad police station Abir Mohammad Hossain said that members of law enforcement agencies visited the spot and an investigation is underway to identify those responsible for the vandalism. According to local sources, the miscreants destroyed the statues of Shitala, Kali, Manasa, and Thakurjhi at a temple in Kaiarkhal village of the upazila on Friday morning. Later, a local named Bijipobhushon Mistri filed a case with the Nesharabad police station against the unknown miscreants for vandalizing the temple.
