The goal of the day of service is for the prosperous South Asian Community in America to give back to their community, to integrate themselves into the community, to follow Mahatma K. Gandi’s example of tireless service and to have fun. Past volunteers have planted trees, supported victims of domestic violence, cleaned parks and served at local soup kitchens.
